The Association is dedicated to promoting the sport of drill team riding for entertainment and competition. It is the intention of the Sunshine State Mounted Drill Team Association to develop and bring together as many drill teams as is possible throughout the state of Florida, and to hold competitions and events throughout the year, one of which will be the State Competition for the purpose of naming an Annual State Champion.
