We are pleased to announce the 2020 Show Schedule for the Sunshine State Mounted Drill Team Association. There will be 3 qualifiers and a State Championship show as we’ve done in year’s past.
Something new this year is that the 3 qualifiers will be 2 days. There will be a single set of classes and they will be split over the 2 days. We hope that this will allow you to participate in more classes without wearing out your horses as well as being able to watch and support other teams.
We have been invited back to the Florida State Fair and will be holding our first qualifier there. Our drill team performances are viewed at entertainment for the Fair, so we will be doing classes in costume, but only the Theme ones will stand for inspection and be judged.

Hosted at: Alachua County Equestrian Arena – Newberry, FL

Saturday & Sunday, August 15-16th
Hosted at: Okeechobee Agri Civic Center – Okeechobee, FL
Show schedule to be split over 2 days with a Drill Clinic in the middle. - State Championships
November 14th & 15th
Hosted at: Florida Horse Park – Ocala, FL
All locations have stalls and campsites available. All stall and camping reservations will be done through SSMDTA when entry forms are sent out, except for the Florida State Fair – that has to go through them.
